Streetfighter V2 and Streetfighter V4 SP: Two new Ducati models derived from the successful "Fight Formula"

Building on the success of the V4 model, the Ducati Street Fighter family expanded by introducing new Street Fighter V2 and Street Fighter V4 SP models

Streetfighter V2 truly represents the essence of the "Fighter" attitude: the new portal of the Streetfighter family is a perfect combination of boldness and essence

The top Street Fighter V4 SP manufactured in the numbered series has added the leading technical specifications of the "SP" model to the "Fighting Formula", further improving the power-to-weight ratio of the Street Fighter V4 S, and has already ranked among the best in similar products.

Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), November 11, 2021-Ducati launched two new models to expand the Street Fighter series: the bold and essential Street Fighter V2 and the top Street Fighter V4 SP. All in-depth information about these two bikes has been disclosed in the fourth episode of the Ducati World Première web series (link to the video presentation here).

The new Street Fighter V2 is a sporty naked car with a unique personality. It meets the needs of riders who are looking for a bike that can combine the DNA of Panigale V2 with the attitude and style of the highly regarded Street Fighter. The result is an intuitive and easy-to-operate motorcycle with the right power to ensure strong performance and maximum riding pleasure.

It is worth noting that this project is a reinterpretation of Ducati's successful "Fight Formula" application on the Panigale V2. This model has the fairing removed and is equipped with tall and wide handlebars. The car has a dry weight of 392 pounds (178 kilograms), an engine of 955 cc and 153 hp Superquadro, controlled by the latest generation of electronic components.

The new Street Fighter V2 is indispensable. It is characterized by a truly sharp design. It contains the classic style elements of Street Fighter V4. Starting from the unique headlights, it pays tribute to the typical V-shaped DRL of Ducati sports bikes. It was inspired by the famous smile of the clown.

The design concept behind this new model is built around the mechanical principles inherited from the Panigale V2, and uses the Superquadro engine as the bearing element.

Ergonomics has the main function centered on the rider and focuses on road use with added value of sportiness and comfort. The tall and wide aluminum handlebar replaced the handlebar stem of the Panigale V2. The saddle is now wider and has new padding to help make this bike more comfortable. In addition, the footrest has been repositioned to increase space. All these improvements allow the rider to have good control during sports riding and at the same time facilitate daily use.

The Streetfighter V2 engine is a 955 cc Superquadro that meets the Euro 5 standard and can provide a maximum power of 153 hp at 10,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 74.8 lb-ft (101.4 Nm) at 9,000 rpm. The result of this engine is not only usable and pleasant on the road, but also very effective and excellent on the track, where the bike can be easily managed. Compared with Panigale V2, the Streetfighter V2 project has a shorter final drive ratio (15/45 vs. 15/43): This guarantees greater torque for the wheels when driving on the road, and better performance when reopening the accelerator. Engine response.

When developing this new model, Ducati engineers focused on the chassis settings. The Superquadro engine is used as a bearing element connecting the compact front structure, which consists of a die-cast aluminum monocoque frame fixed to the engine cylinder head. The single-sided rocker arm also connected to the engine is 0.6 inches (16 mm) longer than the Panigale V2, which is a key feature that helps ensure the stability of the vehicle.

A 1.7-inch (43 mm) Showa BPF front fork and Sachs shock absorber are added to the platform, with a special calibration function, making the bike more comfortable on the road, easy to adjust, and enjoy a whole new level of fun on the track.

Streetfighter V2 is equipped with 5-spoke wheels and new Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires: 120/70 ZR17 on the front and 180/60 ZR17 on the rear, which can provide ultra-fast response to the rider’s needs and provide additional turning feedback. Almost the entire braking system is faithfully taken from Panigale V2, equipped with Brembo M4-32 single radial calipers and 12.6 inches (320 mm) diameter brake discs, but the brake pads have a smaller bite force and are more suitable for road use .

The comprehensive and modern electronic compartment suitable for Street Fighter V2 is inherited from Panigale V2. The 6-axis IMU inertial platform manages all the electronic controls of the bicycle, and gives the position of the bicycle in the space in real time, and sends the information to the management control control unit. The electronic package includes: ABS cornering EVO with "brake slip" function, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 2, Ducati Wheel Control (DWC) EVO, Ducati Quick Up/Down Shift (DQS) EVO 2. Engine brake control (EBC) EVO.

Streetfighter V2 has three different riding modes (sports, road, wetland) and dedicated control settings. Electronic equipment can be enhanced by a series of accessories in the Ducati Performance catalog: Ducati Data Analyzer (DDA GPS) and Ducati Multimedia System.

This bike is equipped with LED headlights with front DRL and a 4.3-inch full TFT dashboard with an intuitive interface from the Streetfighter V4 series.

Streetfighter V2 will be available on Ducati red and black rims at Ducati dealers in North America from February 2022.

The Ducati Performance catalog contains numerous accessories designed to enhance the appearance, performance and style of the new Streetfighter V2. Among them, the winglet designed by Ducati has achieved higher performance on the track.

In 2022, Ducati also launched the top Street Fighter V4 SP model, available in numbered versions and marked with the legendary "SP" (for Sport Production) abbreviation. The new Street Fighter V4 SP is the most exciting naked sports bike ever launched on the Borgo Panigale production line. Thanks to special technical equipment, the perfect combination of "Fight Formula" and "SP" specifications has further improved the power-to-weight ratio of Streetfighter V4 S, which has already ranked first in its class, making the bike more effective on the track.

Streetfighter V4 SP is equipped with special coatings derived from Superleggera V4, advanced equipment, and weight restrictions: the operating sequence is 432 lbs (196 kg) (reduced by 6.6 lbs [3 kg] compared to Streetfighter V4 S).

Ducati Centro Stile drew inspiration from the Ducati Corse motorcycles ridden in the pre-season tests of the MotoGP and SBK championships, and conceived the indispensable and fascinating "Winter Test" camouflage. The matte black color of the fairing is combined with the matte carbon fiber finish of the rims and wings, in perfect contrast with the bright red trim and shiny brushed aluminum fuel tank. This new bike from Borgo Panigale also adds some beautiful details, such as the progressive numbers printed on the handlebars and the Italian flag color scheme on the carbon fiber wings.

Streetfighter V4 SP is equipped with 5 bifurcated carbon fiber rims, which are 3 pounds (1.4 kg) lighter than the standard forged aluminum rims on Streetfighter V4 S, and can reduce the front inertia by 26% and 46%. The rear part makes the bike more flexible and lighter when changing directions. The unique Brembo Stylema R® front brake calipers ensure unparalleled braking force and provide amazing performance even after prolonged use on the track*.

The new bike is equipped with Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 and an event-based system that can change the damping according to the rider's riding style and work with the biplane wings to increase confidence and ensure the best performance in sports use.

The beating heart is the 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale, which has 208 hp and can provide 90.4 lb-ft (123 Nm) of torque at 9,500 rpm (compliant with Euro 5 standards). On Streetfighter V4 SP, Desmosedici Stradale is equipped with STM-EVO SBK dry clutch, which guarantees better anti-jump function even in the most aggressive downshifts and provides greater fluidity in all "non-throttle" phases , It is crucial that when pushed to the limit, it is really effective on the track.

Adjustable aluminum and CNC machined pedals, carbon fiber front fenders, lithium-ion batteries, and a series of accessories suitable for "track day", such as open carbon fiber clutch cover** and for removing the license plate holder cover. **

Thanks to its technical equipment, Streetfighter V4 SP is the ideal companion for novices who want to dominate the track by riding a naked bike and get instant response. The braking ability turned out to be excellent, with the bike entering corners more easily and reaching the apex faster, not to mention providing excellent stability at high speeds.

Streetfighter V4 SP will be available in a single-seater configuration in the "Winter Test" paint. The bicycle will be sold at Ducati dealers in North America in February 2022.
