Honda CBR1000RR is one of the bicycles that comes to mind when the word "super bike" is mentioned.

Honda has been known for manufacturing legal street motorcycles under the banner of CBR since 1990. In 2003, Honda launched the 7th generation CBR series: Honda CBR1000RR. The Honda CBR1000RR is called Fireblade in some countries and is a very successful bicycle.

Since the start of production in 2003, it has replaced the Honda CBR954RR and has undergone various updates and modifications. For more than ten years, it has been one of the most highly rated and best-selling motorcycles in the world.

Honda CBR1000RR is one of the bicycles that comes to mind when the word "super bike" is mentioned. In the company's words: "Fireblade provides comfort and drivability you have never experienced before." Its style, performance and appearance all give it advantages in the motorcycle industry.

The attractive features of the Honda CBR1000RR certainly amaze many people, but it also leaves a question; is it worth its crazy high price?

First, the Honda CBR1000F from 1987 to 1997 sold for US$3,166.69. However, the 2021 model of the Honda CBR1000RR is priced at US$28,500, which may be too expensive depending on your love of sports bikes, or it may be worth the money.

The first-generation Honda CBR1000RR manufactured in 2003 followed some parts of its predecessor Honda CBR954RR, and at the same time saw significant changes in design and added some other functions.

Honda launched an in-line four-cylinder engine: a compact 998cc with different cylinder diameters and stroke sizes. Its six-speed gearbox is shaped like a cassette tape, and it seems to be inspired by the game. With the introduction of the new chassis, it received two-stage fuel injection.

Honda also added a rocker arm to improve its off-line acceleration and wheelbase to distribute the weight and engine power of the motorcycle, so that it has a better balance. The extended rocker arm and wheelbase are the main criteria for measuring the performance of sports bikes, so Honda will definitely consider racing as its primary consideration when manufacturing this motorcycle.

Fireblade underwent two major renovations, one in 2006 and one in 2008. You can expect the 2000s version to sell for approximately $6,500 to $7,500.

The renovation of Honda CBR1000RR in 2006 was a major renovation. Compared with the previous model, it has more incremental advantages;

Honda has reduced the weight of the Fireblade and increased its compression ratio. The introduction of a lighter rear swing arm also ensures better handling. Its front brake disc has been increased, and Fireblade has received a new exhaust system and chassis geometry.

The 2008 redesign was powered by a new 998cc inline four-cylinder engine. The engine has everything new; crankcase, cylinder block and cylinder head configuration. It is lighter, and almost all parts have been redesigned to ensure weight reduction. Fireblade is also equipped with a new exhaust system, placed on the side to replace the previous design under the seat.

After the renovation in 2008, the Fireblade's design, performance, weight reduction and electronic updates have undergone major changes with the advancement of technology. In 2020, the name will be changed; Honda CBR1000RR-R.

Now in 2021, Honda once again offers legal and fast sports bikes. This time, it focuses on the ratio between power and weight, providing a horsepower figure for the 2021 model, working with weight to keep the motorcycle in a good balance.

The 2021 Honda Fireblade maintains its low weight, powerful engine, electronic equipment, and even better than its predecessors in all these aspects.

The Fireblade engine is still a masterpiece. It has a liquid-cooled 999cc inline four-cylinder engine with a compression ratio of 13:1, which provides 214 hp at 14,500 rpm and 83 lbs-ft at 12,500 rpm. The engine makes a very pleasant sound when it is in motion.

It has an aperture of 76 mm and a stroke of 55 mm.

For its chassis, the main frame is made of 2 mm aluminum, which can precisely adjust the rigidity balance. The main frame is connected to the engine in six positions to increase rigidity and achieve more precise control. The vertical and torsional stiffness increases, while the horizontal stiffness decreases, all of which are designed to maximize the rider's feel.

The new chassis provides a solid feel during acceleration and high speed while maintaining its accurate handling characteristics. It has a wired throttle and a throttle handle acceleration position sensor embedded in the right handlebar. There are five different power modes to choose from, three different wheel control modes, and Honda's optional torque control with different options. Braking can also be adjusted through three different settings to get a better driver feel. This model is also equipped with a full-color 5-inch TFT screen with a higher resolution than before and is fully customizable.

CBR1000RR Fireblade gets ABS like previous models. On the 2021 Fireblade, its ABS has obtained two switchable modes: sports mode and track mode. The sport mode of this bike focuses on road performance with high braking efficiency and less pitch, while the track mode provides braking performance that is much higher than the speed normally seen in track conditions.

The 2021 Fireblade has a wider rear wheel, which reduces weight while maintaining rigidity and minimizes changes in chassis geometry when switching from street mode to track mode.
