This Shelby GT500 is an original classic as it still sports the gleaming factory paint. It also boasts a nearly new interior including the carpet. It bears 63,386 miles on the meter, so you can expect a lot of life left in this rare vehicle.

The first owner bought the car upon returning from Vietnam from Koons Ford in Falls Church Virginia and later brought it to Houston. He bought the car via eBay in 2013 and kept it for almost a decade with a lot of TLC.

Under the hood, it bears an engine block dated 1967 which seems to be a replacement. However, it now boasts a rebuilt 428 Cobra Jet Ram Air V8 motor and a revived automatic transmission. The brakes and the factory air conditioner are also restored. The owner has spent about $15,000 to make the car roadworthy and uploaded all the repair-work receipts in the auction photos.

There are plenty of pictures to go through including the original Texas license plate ‘ENV 89’ and other original documents supporting its origins. You can also hear the rumble of the engine in one of the videos on the listing.

Looking at the significance of this historical car, the current price already sits at a whopping $110,000 so it’s heading for a hefty sale. There’s almost a month left for the bid to close, so there is a chance for all fans as long as they have deep pockets.
