Anker's latest high-speed chargers are nearly upon us, and will be unveiled during an upcoming event to be live-streamed via the OEM's website a few days from today (July 22, 2022). The company has yet to reveal exactly which series of its power accessories are to get this upgrade, or which form-factors they will take.

Then again, the self-proclaimed "world's No.1 charging brand" has already revealed that there will be different products, some of which are aimed at home use and some of which are best for more mobile life. They will also have a variety of wattages, some of which will fall into the sub-100W category - and some of which are touted to go beyond this traditional upper limit.

In the case of the latter, Anker has teased these next-gen chargers "with superpowers" in terms of their new GaNFast power ICs with GaNSense technology, courtesy of the specialist supplier Navitas. The partners already assert that the components should achieve up to 97% peak efficiency, while using up to 25% less power, compared to traditional silicon-based charging tech.

Anker's upcoming chargers are also to be enhanced with Hybrid Flyback and CoolGaN switches from Infineon, rated to prevent energy loss in their use by up to 20% compared to "other solutions". The OEM's new <100W offering have also been graced with new internals from new partners.

Innoscience has collaborated with Anker to deliver what it calls an "an all-GaN solution" with power chips based on the material for both the AC and DC side in these new accessories. Apparently, using such FETs should bring "efficiency and power density to a new level" in the upcoming chargers.

Meanwhile, Southchip, a group that has apparently found that 100% GaN solutions reduced AC-DC circuit energy loss by 7.2% in its lab's tests, has contributed its "proprietary GaN differential drive technology" to boost reliability in Anker's 2022 chargers.

Finally, Anker has engaged iSmarWare to help deliver the latest generation of PowerIQ in the upcoming products with a "new SoC single-chip solution" for "high-current and high-voltage DC-DC PD fast charging". This upgrade involves a streamlined IC design is rated to reduce the power used per charge by up to 40%.

Accordingly, Anker will presumably tout all these new developments during its July 25, 2022 broadcast. Interested consumers can subscribe to get its link via email on the day, which apparently comes with the potential for an early-bird offer on a companion cable.
