On offer are two trims – Live and Feel – and many customisation options. We break down each trim and its features list.

French carmaker Citroen recently launched its first mainstream model in the Indian market, the C3. With just two trims, the C3 is priced between Rs 5.71 lakh-8.06 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The C3 comes closer to the likes of the Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.

The C3 is available in two trims – Live and Feel –  and its engine options consist of an 82hp, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol unit, and a 110hp, 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol. The Live and Feel trims are both available with the 1.2 NA engine, and the 1.2 turbo-petrol motor is available additionally only on the Feel trim.

Considering that the C3 is not as well equipped as its rivals, the prices come across as a little expensive. However, it must be noted that the C3 boasts of an excellent ride quality as we found in our review.

Let's take a look at the detailed features list of the two trims.

Powertrain - 1.2 petrol (Rs 5.71 lakh)

Powertrain - 1.2 petrol (Rs 6.63 lakh); 1.2 turbo-petrol (Rs 8.06 lakh)

It must be noted that while the higher Feel trim gets advanced features like a 10.2-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, it misses out on several basic features like rear windscreen wiper and defogger, powered wing mirror adjustment, a day and night mirror, a tachometer and central lock/unlock button for the doors.

The lower Live trim is even more stripped, lacking features like LED running lights, exterior black plastic cladding, rear power windows and a passenger sun visor. It also doesn't get the touchscreen, USB chargers, or even an audio system.

Additionally, there's a factory-fitted Vibe pack on offer that gets you exterior accents in either orange or grey paint shades. The Vibe pack can be availed only on the Feel trim; and while it's standard on the 1.2 turbo motor, on the 1.2 NA, it can be had for an additional Rs 15,000.

With its high-riding stance and Citroen’s clever ‘hatchback with a twist’ marketing term, the C3 occupies a unique place in our market. It sits above the Maruti Ignis, and alongside the Tata Punch, but below the Renault Kiger and the Nissan Magnite.
