Torrance, California, November 11, 2021/PRNewswire/ - Acura today showed the world the highly anticipated new Integra, marking the return of the famous nameplate to the Acura lineup. Integra Prototype uses the eye-catching Indy Yellow Pearl paint borrowed from NSX, which strongly demonstrates the design of the new 2023 Acura Integra, which will be priced at approximately US$30,000 at Acura dealers next year.

Inspired by the past Integra, including helping to launch the original Acura brand in 1986, the Integra in 2023 will become the new entry-performance model in the Acura series. The new Integra is designed in Japan, and its bold exterior styling uses a significantly slanted roof line and hatchback tailgate, giving it a unique coupe-like road atmosphere. As a modern interpretation of the Integra series, the fifth-generation models display iconic signs, such as the embossed Integra name, under the headlights on the driver's side and the taillights on the passenger's side.

Acura's new frameless diamond pentagonal grille appeared for the first time on the Type S concept car, giving the Integra a purposeful and sporty front. Acura’s unique lighting logo has been updated to the “Chicane” LED daytime running lights, which are now located above Integra’s JewelEye® LED headlights for a more eye-catching appearance.

The muscular rear wheel arches and aggressive rear fascia with dual exhaust trim accentuate Integra's wide track. Inspired by the previous Integra models, the unique tail shape uses a large integrated taillight with a matching "Chicane" light logo. Behind Integra Prototype's matte-finished 19-inch split five-spoke wheels are oversized Brembo™ high-performance brakes and colorful Indian yellow calipers that provide incredible stopping power and an aggressive appearance.

Integra Prototype’s eye-catching Indy Yellow Pearl Paint pays tribute to the Phoenix Yellow provided by the iconic 2000-2001 Integra Type R. Integra's roof, trunk lid spoiler, rearview mirror cover, rear diffuser and front grille are all decorated in high-gloss Berlin black. The lower door sill graphic clearly shows the Integra name on the side of the vehicle.

The launch of the 2023 Acura Integra will mark the first production of the Integra in the United States, and mass production will begin next year at the Marysville Automobile Plant in Ohio. Integra will be built on the same production line as Acura TLX and will be manufactured in Ohio along with all new Acura models sold in the United States.
